hotel’s excellent location right in the heart of Essen, together with its
first-class service, make this showcase of a building a perfect starting point
for your business trips, trade fair visits or private ventures into the world of

All of our 198 rooms are comfortably and
individually furnished. In addition to TV and radio, they all have air
conditioning and are equipped with Public Wireless LAN (wireless internet
access), direct-dial phone, minibar and hairdryer.
Taking special care and attention to all the
details, we have set up a home away from home. Our rooms radiate a very special
charm, with the vast majority of their ceilings being over 3.5 metres high.
Non-smoking rooms and rooms for our movement-impaired guests are available upon
request. Our rooms are classified into Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms, Deluxe
Rooms, Junior Suites and a Suite. All rooms differ in size, furnishing and
amenities.
At our newly renovated Handelshof Restaurant, you
can expect, alongside classic dishes, a variety of Swiss culinary treats as well
as international specialities. The Handelshof Restaurant opens daily from 6:30
until 23:00.
Various sporting facilities such as tennis,
squash or badminton courts and a bowling centre are located in the close
vicinity to the hotel. For recreational habits, a gym and sauna situated nearby
can be used free of charge.
We have five meeting rooms between 35 and 80
square metres available for your successful meeting.
Two of the banqueting rooms can be connected with
each other to get a room with a total size of 150 square metres.
We can arrange events for up to 120 persons.
